I saw these the other day at my local Walmart:
I don't even know where to begin.
These are beyond absurd.
I mean, let's infuse the military into the observation of Easter because, why? Because we want to make it extra hard for the wee ones at the Easter Egg Hunt? Because we want to "honor those who serve/d"? Hey, I'm a vet, and I say this AIN'T the way to honor me, thank you very much.
But, hey, there IS a pink one so what am I so upset about???
Sheesh.
I am soooooo fed up with crapolla like this. Just so fed up.
Well, . . . I might just hit Walmart for these for Mary's Easter basket. She is a Marine and might find them 'cute.' Drew might also find them amusing with his future military plans. I am trying to decide. Then again, I may just stick with the regular stuff. It is a little weird and certainly not funny for kids. I find the whole Easter thing a bit confusing. I really like the whole religious end of the day and enjoy the whole pagan thing with the eggs and the equinox and I really love an excuse to give the kids gifts. I seems like two separate days. One really beautiful and the other rather silly and fun. Do these fit in with the silly and fun? Not entirely sure.
