rapunzel, rapunzel...

several years ago we had to cut down a tree on our property. i saved a portion of the wisteria vine that had been growing up the tree to its top - a good 40 feet or more.

i sprayed it with gold paint and it now leans against the wall on the stair landing going up to my studio.

i've named it rapunzel...

a reminder to let my hair down and not get up tight about things...

(amazing what nature produces, isn't it?)
